BBBS Big-Little Holiday Party A BIG Success!
A fresh blanket of snow that arrived in the morning created the perfect backdrop for the 2013 Big-Little Holiday Party held on Saturday, December 14th at the Schenley Park Ice Rink and Meeting Room. The weather did not deter close to 250 Bigs, Littles, and BBBS Staff from packing the facility and enjoying a variety of seasonal games, crafts, refreshments and of course ice skating!
Bowl for Kid’s Sake (BFKS) is the region’s largest charity bowling campaign. Join hundreds of your neighbors, co-workers, and friends to raise funds. Then celebrate together through bowling, games, prizes, and other exciting activities. Proceeds benefit our one-to-one mentoring programs, serving over 1,200 children each year across Allegheny, Greene, and Washington Counties. W&J College welcomed their holiday break with the 5th Annual End of the Semester Celebration
Washington & Jefferson College (a BBBS BIG Community Partner of the Year) hosted the Fifth Annual Holiday Party for Bigs and Littles in Washington/Greene Counties on December 3, 2013. With 30 matches in attendance, there was plenty of holiday cheer to go around! W&J clubs organized games, crafts and food with fun holiday themes for matches to enjoy.
On January 16, 2014 we take the time to thank and celebrate all of the people who have impacted our lives in a positive way, our mentors. In whatever shape they may take, a Big Brother or Sister, a teacher, a community leader, a mom or a dad, or even just a good friend, today we thank and celebrate YOU.
Antonio Brown hosts 1st Annual Harvest Huddle for our families
On Monday, November 25th, Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Antonio Brown joined the ACE Pay It Forward Foundation to host the 1st Annual Harvest Huddle. Close to 40 of our families were given – by Antonio himself – two bags of food, including a turkey, bread, stuffing mix, corn and apples, to help fill their Thanksgiving tables.
