BBBSPGH Celebrates Volunteers and Community Partners at annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner

In honor of National Volunteer Month, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh community gathered recently to celebrate volunteers who help keep our organization as one of the premiere youth mentoring resources in the region! 

 On Thursday, April 18th at the Mayernik Center in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh, The BBBSPGH Volunteer Recognition event enabled attendees to honor Jared Latchaw and Lindsay Litterini as not just BBBSPGH Big Brother and Big Sister of the Year, but also as the Pennsylvania Big Brother and Big Sister for 2024! 

Community partners and board members who have made a BIG impact this year were also honored: 

Emerging Partner of the Year: Awareness and Wellness Center

Partner of the Year: Macy’s 

Corporate Partner of the Year: Deloitte 

Board Member of the Year: Stacy Byers

BIG Impact Group Member: Vincent Russo 

“We are grateful for all the support we receive from our volunteers and community partnersWe could not be the best mentoring agency in the region without their dedication and commitment to our missionThe opportunity to honor them at this dinner is one small way to show our appreciation and gratitude” said Director of Programs, Zandra McDonald. 

In addition to the awards portion, Bigs in attendance were able to write message to their Littles. Also, a video played throughout the evening to display messages of thanks to the volunteers from Littles, parents, staff, etc.
