BBBS of Greater Pittsburgh is Twice Honored with National Excellence Awards
Pittsburgh's oldest and largest youth mentoring organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh (BBBSPGH), was nationally recognized twice recently for its programming excellence.
First, BBBSPGH won the 2023 Quality Award from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. The Quality Award honors excellent operations and programming within individual Big Brothers Big Sisters markets nationwide. Every year, 32 local agencies of the 225 agencies across the USA are recognized for excellence in the organization's signature 1-to-1 youth mentoring program. This is the second consecutive year that BBBSPGH has won the Quality Award.
"I am very proud of our board our directors and staff for making high-quality programming a priority as we serve local children, mentors, and families," said Becky Flaherty, CEO of BBBSPGH. "Their hard work equates to more mentorship in our region and a brighter future for all youth across the region."

Each year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America holds the Biggie Awards, which recognizes outstanding work at its 225 agencies nationwide. Greater Pittsburgh was honored for its 2022 BIG BASH.
"We enabled guest of the 2022 BIG BASH to look at the world through a child's eyes, where colors are brighter, every adventure is an opportunity, and imagination is limitless," said Blaise Jenkins, BBBSPGH Development Director (pictured, on the right, accepting the award).
