Big Brother & Board Member Chris Dinnin Named Interim BBBSPGH CEO

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh (BBBSPGH) announces the addition of Mr. Chris Dinnin as its interim Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Dinnin has a long history with BBBSPGH. He is a volunteer Big Brother, a member and past president of the BBBSPGH Board of Directors, and an avid supporter of the organization.

His appointment as interim CEO follows the current CEO, Becky Flaherty, who leaves at the end of February for a new opportunity.

“The Board of Directors is confident that Chris is exactly the right person to work closely with the talented staff and leadership team at BBBSPGH to keep our service to the region at the high level we currently maintain,” said Board President Jenn Petrisek. “His commitment to the BBBSPGH mission and his skill set in management, leadership development, and business knowledge will ensure stability as we search for a permanent CEO.”

Chris’ love for BBBSPGH and the Pittsburgh community has been especially evident over the last several years. He was the Board President and a guiding leadership resource throughout the COVID pandemic. Then, he led the Board in creating the organization’s current strategic plan, which focuses on growth to serve even more children in our community via mentorship.

“I am honored to be trusted with the interim reigns of this great organization,” Chris said. “My priority is to ensure that the organization maintains its focus on our mission while continuing to implement our strategic plan through this time of transition.”

Currently, Mr. Dinnin operates Dinnin Advisors as its founder and president, focusing on CEO and executive coaching and advisory services. His prior positions include leadership roles with CyLumena, SDLC Partners, Evoxis, and Accenture. He is a graduate of CMU’s Tepper School and a past member of Vistage Worldwide, the leading peer advisory organization for small and medium-sized businesses.
