Robert Morris University Men's Basketball Team Goes Black & Green to Honor Big Brothers Big Sisters for National Mentoring Month
Twice a month, the entire RMU men’s basketball team spends hours at a nearby afterschool program to mentor children as part of a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. At RMU’s home game on Monday, January 9, players honored BBBSPGH by wearing BBBSPGH t-shirts in pre-game warmups and green shoelaces during the game. The effort is part of January being National Mentoring Month. RMU players began visiting with kids at the Mooncrest after school program in Moon Township since the start of this school year. The partnership with BBBSPGH began thanks to head coach Andrew Toole, who was a Big Brother during his college days. Many thanks to the RMU players, Coach Toole, and the entire University for their support of our mission!
