 “What a couple of powerful days in Steelers Nation! I was honored to cap my 14-city CEO tour for this year in Pittsburgh hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh, led by CEO Becky Flaherty and her amazing team, board and volunteers.

As a lifelong Steelers fan, it was a dream come true to attend my first Steelers game in Pittsburgh but even more inspiring was the tailgate before the game where I met with so many Bigs and their Littles who demonstrated the power of this mission and the work we do.

Like many cities its size, the Pittsburgh community is going through significant change economically, socially, and educationally. I was proud to meet community partners like the Mayor’s office, donors, volunteers and non-profit alliances to discuss how mentorship can play a more broader role creating opportunities for young people and positive change across the community.

And yes, it would have not been a Pittsburgh visit if I didn’t take in some of the local traditions. Thank you to Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar and Toni Haggerty (who has worked there since 1974) for showing me how to make one of the best pastrami sandwiches I have tasted!

Love this mission, love meeting passionate people and thankful for the opportunity to make a difference.”
